  • Lebanon man facing stiffer charges for assaulting blind man

    A Lebanon man who was arrested for assaulting a blind man is now facing more severe charges.
    Darrell Craig, 62, of Lebanon was recently arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault after punching David Holliday in the face while he was walking down the sidewalk on West Main Street in Lebanon with his guide dog, Major, on Feb. 14.
    Holliday’s nose was broken. He had to undergo surgery on Feb. 23.
    Due to the severity of Holliday’s injuries, Craig is now being charged with second-degree assault, which is a Class C felony.

    Feb. 18
    Subway Restaurant located at 2136 Campbellsville Highway in Lebanon reported the theft of $120 in cash.

    Feb. 6
    Jeffrey E. Huff of Orleans, Indiana reported the theft of an International semi truck and trailer valued at $30,000, which was located at Kentucky Cooperage in Lebanon.

    Feb. 20
    Rodney E. Deaton of Goose Creek Road in Bradfordsville reported the theft of a money bag and $81.91 in cash, which was removed from the victim’s vehicle.

    Feb. 2
    At 8:35 p.m., deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office arrested Thomas R. Yocum, 36, of Bardstown and lodged him in the Marion County Detention Center on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of meth and reckless driving. The arrest resulted from a traffic stop when Yocum was observed driving recklessly on Highway 52 in St. Francis.
