    Feb. 2
    At 8:35 p.m., deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office arrested Thomas R. Yocum, 36, of Bardstown and lodged him in the Marion County Detention Center on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of meth and reckless driving. The arrest resulted from a traffic stop when Yocum was observed driving recklessly on Highway 52 in St. Francis.

  • Juvenile arrested after police chase

    A juvenile was taken into custody last week after leading deputies on a vehicle chase.
    According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, on the morning of Feb. 14, the sheriff’s office received the report of a stolen pickup truck from a residence on Highway 1157. A short time later, Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy Tristan Hayden observed the stolen truck exiting the Kroger parking lot off of East Main Street in Lebanon. When Deputy Hayden attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle sped away at a high rate of speed on Sulphur Springs Road.

  • Springfield man arrested for mail theft

    Dennis Ray Singletary Jr., 47, of Springfield was arrested on Feb. 14 on numerous charges of mail theft.

    KFC/Taco Bell reported the theft of $314 in cash.

    Ellis V. Trimble of Chestnut Street in Lebanon reported $300 in damage to a 1992 Honda Motorcycle and the theft of a $400 Taurus 9MM semi-automatic pistol and $300 in ammunition.

    Jan. 6
    Kyle Burton of Lake Avenue in Lebanon reported a burglary. The screen door and entry door to his residence was damaged, causing $499 in reported damage.
