  • Maker’s Mark candlelight tours begin Dec. 6

    Maker’s Mark Distillery staff have decked the halls with wreaths, ribbons, garland and thousands of lights, and the public is invited to celebrate the season with the annual holiday candlelight tours. Free self-guided tours are available Saturday, Dec. 6 and Dec. 13 between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. EST, with no reservations necessary.

     

  • Loretto Christmas Parade is Friday, Dec. 5

    The City of Loretto will be getting into the Christmas spirit Friday with its annual holiday festivities and Christmas parade. The tree lighting will take place at 5:45 p.m., and the parade will begin at 6:30 p.m.

    There will be road closures in the area beginning at 6:15 p.m. Those roads will reopen when the parade has ended.

    It's that time of year again.
    It's time to take your children to get their photos taken with Santa Claus.
    After all, it's a tradition, right?
    Every year, we dress our children up in their most festive holiday outfits, hoping to get that perfect photo of Santa Claus and little Johnny and Sally smiling with rosy, dimpled cheeks.
    But, let's be honest.
    That rarely, if ever, happens.

  • Christmas in the Country is Saturday

    Bradfordsville’s Christmas in the Country is this Saturday. The turkey/ham supper will be held at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6 in the Civic Center. The menu will consist of turkey, ham, dressing gravy, mashed potatoes, rolls, slaw, green beans, cranberry sauce, pie and a drink. At 7 p.m. the Bradfordsville Christmas Parade will be held.   • "A Christmas Carol Jr." is Friday and Saturday

    Kentucky Classic Theatre in association with Lebanon Middle School presents "A Christmas Carol Jr." starring Lynn D. Farris as Scrooge and the Lebanon Middle School drama and chorus students at 7 p.m., Dec. 5-6, on stage in Angelic Hall at Centre Square in Lebanon.
    The show will last a little over an hour. All tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door, in advance at www.mykct.com, by calling 270-321-0218 or at Farmers National Bank in downtown Lebanon.

    Hartley
    William Andrew and Nicole Lee Hartley of Lebanon announce the birth of a 6-pound, 3-ounce son, Jacob Steven Hartley, born Nov. 12, 2014, at Spring View Hospital, Lebanon.
    Maternal grandparents are Gary and Wanda Walls. Paternal grandparents are Randy and Mary Hartley. Great-grandparents are Sally and Orville Walls, Elizabeth Hutchins, and Phlyss Hartley.
    Jacob Steven has a brother, William Luke and a sister, Lean Grace.
