  • Attorney claims school board candidate is ineligible

Editor’s note: Lebanon Attorney Ted Lavit sent this letter to Marion County Attorney Lisa Nally-Martin, and also asked for The Lebanon Enterprise to publish it. School Board Candidate Amy Bland has submitted a statement on page B8.)

It is my understanding that Amy C. Bland, a candidate in School District 3 for the Marion County Board of Education, has consulted you concerning KRS 160. 180 which was amended to take effect on April 4, 2018 and which provides in subsection (2) that:

  • Vote Democrat

We as parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents will have a chance to give our children a safe place at school with our vote Nov. 6. Military type guns should be outlawed. The Republican Party has done nothing to keep our children safe. The only hope of having a safe place for our kids is to vote Democrat.

    Bernard Mattingly
    Loretto

  • Enough is enough, vote for Terry Mills

I am upset with all these new Kentucky Republican taxes. And I am sick of the Koch Brother games. We need respect for working families like we use to have, and honest leadership. Now what could two billionaire giants want to have anything to do with our middle class and working poor paychecks, you ask? Brandon Reed. He’ll vote how they want, and keep our wages low, and our tax rates slowly increasing.

  • Vote Barry Brady for Jailer
  • Don't vote for Jude

Ignoring Jude's recent arrest for driving on a revoked/suspended license and his failure to pay taxes for five years, I have to point out that Jude is incapable of performing the duties of District Judge.

  • To the voters of the 11th Judicial District:
  • Defeat the establishment, vote for Dan Ballou

With much attention on the U.S. Supreme Court recently, it’s crucial we

remember to vote Nov. 6 for our next Kentucky Supreme Court Justice.

Since this court is the final interpreter of state law, the importance

locally may be just as great.

  • Vote for Jailer Barry Brady
  • Stand up for our public lands

When Donald Trump was elected president, sportsmen had high hopes that the president and his cabinet would commit to, in President Trump's words, "honoring the legacy of Theodore Roosevelt." As our 26th president, Roosevelt worked tirelessly to stop special interests from developing and privatizing our public lands and waters, conserving more than 230 million acres by establishing 150 national forests,

51 federal bird reserves, four national game preserves, five national parks and 18 national monuments.

  • Please support Honor Flight

The American Legion Post No. 49 in Lebanon is sponsoring an Honor Flight. This flight provides free travel for World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials established for them.

The Honor Flight is free to the veterans but this wish cannot be fulfilled without contributions from outside sources. The donations will only be used for the benefit of the veterans.
