  • MISS 3000

Marion County senior Makayla Epps made history with 6:05 left in the second quarter Friday night in a game against Hathaway Brown of Ohio.
She nailed a three-pointer to become the 21st girl since 1975 to surpass the 3,000-point mark in her Kentucky high school basketball career.
“This is a major accomplishment overall in my career,” Epps said. “Being the first to reach 3,000 and play my entire career at Marion County is unbelievable. I told Tacarra Hayes five years ago I was going to do it, and now I have done it.”
