  • PRO FOOTBALL: Gaither living his...

Chris Gaither has always had a dream of playing professional football. He might not be playing on Sundays in the NFL, but he’s still living out his dream and going for more.
Gaither, a native of Lebanon, is currently playing for the Lexington Red Dragons, a professional football team within the Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL). The team was started in 2017 by Ryan Stark, who saw adult athletes in Lexington were traveling hours away to compete. He wanted to give them a chance to compete and play locally.

That quote has become one of the most famous quotes. Yes, Jim Mora, I’m going to talk about the playoffs. Specifically, I’m talking about the NBA playoffs, which have reached the Conference Finals.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics are matched up in the Eastern Conference Finals while the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors battle in the Western Conference Finals.

Prior to the home softball game on May 7, Marion County High School held a memorial ceremony in honor of Olivia Ford who tragically lost her life earlier this year. The event included students speaking about their memories of Olivia, the unveiling of a commemorative painting, music by the Beatles (her favorite band), and a balloon release.
For MCHS Principal Thad Elmore, the emotional event was more than just a chance to remember a former student -- it also illustrated the strength and compassion of MCHS students.

Over three years have passed since Adair County defeated Marion County.
That win came all the way back on April 23, 2015 in a 10-6 win.
Since then, Marion County has won eight straight against Adair County. Wins have been difficult enough but getting a run against the Lady Knights has proven to be even more difficult as Adair County (6-18, 0-6) last scored against the Lady Knights in a 5-1 loss on April 26, 2016.
